What this is
MosquesAtlas is a free directory of mosques in the United States, organised by state and city. Every listing has an address; most have a phone number, and where a business publishes its hours or services we show those too. Listings come from open data and from the businesses themselves, who can correct their card at any time — about the directory. Nothing on the lists is paid placement.
Pick a state above, or use the “near me” button to jump to the mosques closest to you. City pages show the full list with a map; state pages collect smaller towns that have a single mosque.

Common questions
What is the difference between a mosque, a masjid and an Islamic center?
Masjid is the Arabic word for mosque, a place of prostration and prayer. An Islamic center usually has a prayer hall and may also host classes, community events and social services. This directory lists places that have a prayer hall under any of these names.
Can non-Muslims visit a mosque?
Many mosques welcome visitors, and some hold open houses or offer tours. It is polite to call ahead, dress modestly and expect to remove your shoes before entering the prayer hall. Some mosques ask visitors to avoid the times of congregational prayer.
What time is Friday prayer?
Jumu’ah, the congregational Friday prayer with a sermon, is held shortly after midday. The exact time varies by mosque and by season, and some mosques hold more than one sitting. Check the mosque’s website or call to confirm.
How do I find prayer times for a mosque?
The five daily prayers are set by the position of the sun, so their times change through the year. Most mosques post a timetable on their website, on social media or in an app. Congregational times can differ slightly from the calculated times, so use the mosque’s own schedule.
Do men and women pray in the same room?
Practice varies. Many mosques have separate areas for men and women, either in one hall or on separate floors, and some have a dedicated entrance for each. If you are visiting for the first time, ask the mosque where to enter and where to sit.
